The California Solar Initiative (CSI) is currently paying a rebate,
see table EPBB.
In addition to the rebate, investments in residential solar electricity qualify for
30% federal income tax credit. These incentives cover a significant portion of the total cost, and result in solar power being less expensive than utility power.
The amount of the rebate declines by $0.20 per Watt each time the program receives 10MW of applications. You must apply for these rebate programs before the next decline in order to secure your rebate at the current level.

To be eligible for this rebate you must be buying power from one of the following utility companies: Pacific Gas and Electric; San Diego Gas & Electric; Southern California Edison or Bear Valley
Electric, LADWP etc..
